Have you tried the viral Dubai chocolate? It seems that we have all gone mad for the stuff! But what exactly is it?
The original Dubai chocolate bar was created in 2021 by Sarah Hamouda, a British-Egyptian entrepreneur. Inspired by her pregnancy cravings, the bar contains a filling of knafeh and pistachio. It is sold under the name “Can’t Get Knafeh of It” by her company Fix Dessert Chocolatier. Knafeh is a traditional Arab dessert made with spun pastry dough, which provides the yummy crunch in the filling.
In 2024 Dubai chocolate went viral on social media after being shared by numerous influencers and it seems we can’t get enough of the stuff here in Ireland now either. We’re talking people travelling for hours, queuing on the street and bars selling out online instantly. This chocolate has quite literally whipped us into a frenzy!
